I love this story! So well done, and I love Steve's reactions and how he's all "Don't take my baby, bitch! I don't care if you're her mother!" And Danny comforting him! *swoons* The end was so sweet, I like how you opened it up to them being SO HAPPY. Grace with Julie was also wonderful :D
I do have one small beef though, if Julie is 1 then it is highly unlikely that she'd have such a vocabulary. Babbling, absolutely; understanding simple sentences/questions, definitely; but she'd be unlikely to be able to spontaneously say Danno or Grace, much less understandably, unless she's very precocious with her speech. It sounds more like Julie's 18-24 months in your story, rather than 12 months.
