That said, though, I love any writer good enough to give me something that I would have thought was totally out of character and make me not only believe it, but love it as a storyline (Joss Whedon comes to mind, more than once). But that only works when someone builds up to it with really great storytelling.
I'd love to see a story where Steve murders Wo Fat. Cold, premeditated murder. But until I come up with something believable and not (too) cliche...I'm not writing one. Because as much as I'd like to see him do it, his moral compass would have to be pretty fucked up to literally seek the guy out and plan his murder.
Now coming face to face with him in the heat of the moment and getting a chance for a questionable but justifiable homicide...that's a different story.... ;-)
