I couldn't imagine doing a genderswap. You did an awesome job of it; I really appreciated the time you took to use both pronouns (showing Danny's confusion) before having him settle on "her" for as long as Steve was female.
I also really liked that Danny could admit there were conflicted feelings about Steve--HIS PARTNER--being female and how he's almost conditioned to treat her, how he knows that Steve is just as capable as a woman as he is as a man (Hello, Kono) and yet can't/won't deal with the possible ramifications for when things go pear-shaped.
And I'm with Danny: It was their love that broke the curse. Gran's spell just provided the means for it to happen.
