That's my thought, too. This is, for now, mostly a stream of consciousness from Danny's mind, and I'm planning on keeping it that way, so the historical context would really be a backdrop for Danny's feels (he has a lot of them).
Oh, I'm sorry about that :(. Both my grandfathers served in wars, but one died during it, and the other wouldn't talk about it - ever.
