Heee!
It's
shinysylver's birthday today! Happy birthday hun! Hope you have the best of days ♥, filled with Captain America and Tony Stark and Steve and Danny :nod nod:.
Talking about Steve and Danny - and Chin and Kono, these promo shots, just. I mean, unf, right? Unf is the word.

Gorgeous cast is gorgeous. This show has alllllll the pretty.
I feel like I need a new fandom to play around in. I was talking with
sirona_gs yesterday about it, how it'd be good for me to put a little distance so I don't get as annoyed with everything that's going on in the H50 fandom lately; I don't find it the healthiest place to be in at the moment, and I'd enjoy being able to turn away to something else when I need it. But nothing has hit me like this show has, recently. I'm not into the film ships going on lately - I sort of feel assaulted by them everywhere and thus I tend to turn away. So, I don't know. It's hard, you guys. If there's anything you think I should check out, let me know!
In the meantime, if anyone wants to point me towards awesome Eames/Arthur fic (preferably long and meaty, I have a weakness for AU), I'll take it. I've not read them much, but they're so lovely.

As for other fandoms. My first love will always be The Sentinel. It was a TV show on in the mid-90's (it's off air now) but the fandom is hella active. The main archive for (slash) fic is 852prospect (dot) org the 'gen fic' archive is tslibrary (dot) skeeter63 (dot) org. It was a 'buddy-cop' show with a couple of twists. 1)one of the main characters wasn't a cop. He was an anthropologist. And 2) the cop had hyperactive senses (hense the need for the anthropo. he was studying enhanced senses for his Ph.D). 95% of the fic is AMAZINGLY written so you'll have a Lot to sink your teeth into. The 'fic-finders' comm is SentinelFicFind (dot) LiveJournal (dot) com. Their tags are extensive and not frivilous. There are a few authors who are highly regarded and oft requested. Alyjude is one, Keira Marcos is another. Legion's fic is super good too. All of these authors can be found through the fic finders comm. The AU's and crossovers are multitudinous. This was a show where the slash practically wrote itself but the gen can pretty much be seen as pre-slash. The anthropo (Blair was his name) moves in with the cop (Jim) 'for just one week, man, I swear...' and 4 years later (the run of the show) they are still living together.
So. Go, dive in (no wading here go all in) have fun. It's definitely a fandom you can 'pick up, and put down' at your leisure. So there's no pressure.
The main characters were played by Richard Burgi and Garrett Maggert (sp?) google image search them, you won't be disappointed.

Thing is, I kinda have to be swept up by a fandom/tv show. It's not all that easy, for me, to pick something up? Also, I'm terribly shallow about it, too, and I got to feel attracted to the characters, and, well, neither Jim nor Blair ever did it for me, I'm afraid =/.
But - I'll keep it in mind. It's always good to read things completely out of what you usually read.
