So, the Danno thing? I will be in a league of my own there, but I thought it was more than fair game. He was teasing her, she got to slam back.

I tend not to see the ~flirting, or at least I don't see it that way. I choose not to see it that way, and maybe it makes me delusional or something, but you know what? Better that than to be bitter and annoyed every time she is on screen. I'm not her biggest fan, and I get and understand many of the reasons why people don't like her. But I choose to ignore her more than anything else. That's my shtick, and it works for me. You may not agree.

Danny, Danny, Danny. I agree with his views on beliefs, but I also agree with the others, you don't disrespect something sacred like that. It made you sound a bit like an ass, to be honest, and it was...weird.

Also, you could have turned your daughter away from the drunk at the beginning. You don't have to fight for everything, babe. Oooh, fodder for fic here.

The whole ~manipulating the landlord felt very Italian to me, which felt very in character. My Gran is like that, she'll try to get a discount for everything, she used to choose slightly banged up boxes of cereals to have prices on them in the supermarket when I was little. So, Italian, so, idk, since Danny has Italian roots in my headcanon, it felt right. If you thought it was douchey, take it up with my Gran.

Again, I found Kono SO PRETTY in this episode, and that might be because I missed her so much at the beginning of the season, I don't know, but those last two episodes she looked just gorgeous. The whole thing with the priest was heeeee, and I like the fact that she has bonded with Lori.

Also, headcanon, Lori and Max totally went to that costume party together. And she was dressed as Trinity.

The end of that episode, I just. Danny, wearing Converses! And jeans! Steve wearing this most delightful almost see through yellow shirt! And flip flops! Looking all smug and impatient and eyefucking when they're done installing the bed! Kono's little 'ooooooh' when Danny says he might buy a steak knife! Steve only costs Danny a beer! He's such a cheap date. Chin's put upon look! Lori not even protesting about the painting! Steve running after Danny! Heeeeee! That last scene was absolutely perfect. I could have a show of this, I'll be honest ;).

Now, you guys, write me all the codas where Danny comments on Steve's shirt and takes it off, and the two of them sneak off to storage to christen that big big mattress.

Also, you know, when Joe isn't there? I ENJOY. His absence makes me happy.

I didn't even realize Joe wasn't in this ep until you said it! haha, don't need him at all. I loved the last scene, so perfect. The treat or treating scene made my heart break for Danny. It was weird that Grace was so gleeful, and I think that was misdirected. It was overdone and not realistic at all. Danny fighting for the apartment discount was so Jersey, I thought. I loved that Kono was more in this ep and the interaction with the priest was lovely. I'll be honest, I wanted Kono in those action scenes that Lori was in and Kono was...somewhere else, off screen.

I barely noticed Lori calling Danny Danno, but I'm getting the impression it was a big deal for fandom after seeing some posts. Um, yeah. I don't really care at all. Danny called Chin babe.

See, that's the thing, it shows just how unnecessary it is for him to be everywhere. When the Wo Fat thing is going on, fair enough - I actually quite like that he's not only in this to help Steve but he's got his own agenda going as well. I am rooting for him to be very ambiguous.

But when that storyline is not going on? No need for Joe at all, and it shows.

I think the reason Grace was so gleeful was that she really couldn't have enjoyed trick or treating in some kind of seedy hotel. I can't understand why Danny wouldn't take her somewhere else to trick or treat, but that's some kind of writing lapse I'm willing to handwave.

I'd rather have more Kono and less Lori, too, but I'm getting used to blanking her. I didn't follow what she was saying to Gabby at all during that scene, too taken in Steve and Danny and Gabby to even care about what Lori was talking about. Blanking her, it works for me! But, more Kono, more Chin - at least we had a decent amount of Danny this episode, even if he acted off and douchey at times.

Having more Danny was awesome and I was really glad to get back to some his personal issues because they dropped those in and moved off so quickly, I almost forgot, even though they were huge. Oh good point about Grace not wanting to trick or treat at a seedy hotel, LOL. Yes, Danny, take her to an actual neighborhood, dummy.

OK, I was amused by his blowing off the Hawaiian traditions stuff. He was douchey but it was still kind of funny because you knew he was going to get paid back for it and he was, royally. Also, it makes him a little more complex.

God, I love Danny getting all hot and bothered about the museum woman, he's so funny. and Steve making fun. hee
