It's amazing parallel for 'emotionally stunted'. I see your Angels have a lot to do with 'Supernatural' Angels: fighters, warriors. Or maybe they're just Biblical Angels. ;) Anyway, their emotions are different that human right? And they are fascinated with humanity. It's so touching and beautiful when Steve realizes what's the point of wars and bloodshed and all that pain. The point is human love. Child's love for a parent.

And lovers' love. Loving Danny, Danny loving him -- it's enough for an Angel to want to rip his wings off and become mortal. That scene is so wonderfully painful, that you shouldn't be surprised people cried reading this. I was choked myself.
