delicatale: (Steve the Lt Commander is sad)

um, I probably shouldn't admit this so loudly.

It seems I have found myself with a lot of affection for a pairing that isn't written (yet?) (well it has, twice now I think), that is quite wrong and a little twisted, but in a way I love it. Said pairing is grown-up!Gracie/Steve. In different ways. In a 'she's always loved him' way, or in a 'he's always been part of the family' way, or in a 'she's gone for years for college and then she found a job on the mainland and now she's coming back and Steve is older but still gorgeous and she's a woman, now, he can't deny her that' way, I just. I find the idea fascinating. And hot, because grown-up!Grace is hot in my head. And Steve doesn't call her Gracie anymore when she's older and curvy and looks at him with defiance in her eyes, no, and he knows it's wrong because she's Grace but, but.

I don't know, you guys, I'm fucked in the head and all that.

This is what I've missed most about Harry Potter fandom, all of the fucked up pairings! I don't think I could read it if she grew up with him the whole time, but if it's, like, Danny and Grace moved back to NJ when she was nine and she just thinks of him as her dad's old friend who is stupidly hot and way too old for her, then I am all over that shit. Well. Okay, I would probably read it regardless of the scenario, as long as she's an adult, but I think I would prefer the "dad's old friend" scenario vs. "he's basically my stepdad." I love cross-gen when it's done right.

Yeah, I never wrote Kreacher/James... or Hagrid/Dobby... >_>

LOL! I never wrote it, but I can admit to reading Harry/house elves, Harry/Hogwarts (that fic was awesome), and Padfoot/everyone. >.> And, you know, every messed up cross-gen or incest fic, although that almost goes without saying if you're in HP fandom.

I kind of want to read the Kreacher/James...

I don't think it's terribly graphic, but I think I'm afraid to read it. If you want graphic--I wrote Snape/Soup:

I have different scenarios, actually. One is, she goes away, back to the mainland, for college, and then she finds a job and stays there, and comes back from time to time - and it's weird and she doesn't see Steve often but every time she does it reminds her of how she wanted him when she was a teenager, and then Danny dies, and she comes back for the funeral, and Steve's stricken with grief, and so is she, and things happen.

And other scenario is that she goes back to Jersey and comes back when she's older and there they go. I like that one, but that one will definitely be thwarted when S2 starts...

I am in favor of all of these situations, as long as Steve wasn't stricken with grief because he and Danny were in love. ;_; That would crush me and not in a good way.

I'm also in favor of a situation where they have to keep this hidden from Danny.

Bah, who cares, it could be an AU.

No, stricken with grief after losing his partner of many many years, not his lover.

Ahahahahah, anything is possible, heh?
