By all means, I agree - I'm French living in London so I am faced every day with words I want to say and don't mean the same - French and English have a lot of similar words with completely different definitions.
In the end, fact is, this fandom is US based and thus I want to write with US words and meanings. I've been writing in a fandom that is UK based for a while, I just need to get back into it!
