I failed last year. Well, I didn't properly fail - I wrote 2 stories of 25K instead of 1 of 50K. One of the stories I couldn't finish, couldn't go on with, I hated it, even, so. I let it go and started another one. Where word counts go, I guess I did it, but it was entirely unsatisfactory.
Hopefully this year, things will work out better! I doubt I'll finish it in the month, but I'll give it a go ^^.
And, yes, finishing your fic/story, that is a good idea!
