I have never seen one, no - I'd think the best primers would be the movies. Bucky is Steve's best friend, they grew up together, all before the supersoldier program and before Steve became Captain America; he's featured a lot in the movie (in the comics, he is a kid, so some people have issues with slashing him with Cap. I, however, have never read the comics, so I don't care. Also, it's Sebastian Stan.). Phil Coulson is the SHIELD agent that sort of gathers the Avengers together in the movies. He's not in the comics. He's featured in both Iron Man movies, and in Thor, and will be in The Avengers. He's basically Nick Fury's second hand man.
