delicatale: (Teen Wolf Derek looks out)
So, as Scott Caan would say, I went and got my hair did at the weekend. I do it maybe twice a year because I can rarely be arsed, so it's always sort of an event for me. Lookit! I went shorter than I usually do but I like it, even if it's taking me a while to get used to it. I got many a compliment at work so I'm quite pleased *^_^*.

Other than that, I have reached 11.5K on my Teen Wolf Big Bang, which means I wrote over 2K at the weekend, which is very pleasing to me, considering these days I struggle to write over 500 words a day. I wrote it all on Sunday afternoon/evening so it's a good rhythm! [livejournal.com profile] lanyon helped me make sense of my thoughts, and I pushed through a small blockage I had, and managed to write a couple of very important scenes, so, happy! will definitely get over the 15K required for this; I really want to get to the point where I'm close to be finished with it, even if I can't post it just yet. I am enjoying writing it immensely, but I also want to see the finished product, if that makes any sense...Anyway, I reached a turning point, and now I have a few questions for you, my literary, beautiful flist:

Can you think of any great book that ends with one of the characters coming home, or someone important coming back to them? ETA: I think I'm going to use Homer's The Odyssey. Kind of an obvious one, but it's not like this story is subtle anyway ^^.

And also: how many of you have read The Time Traveler's Wife? Because I use its plot in the story and I'm wondering if it will put off many people because there are spoilers from the book in there.

Let me know!

Anyway, for your time, and if you're interested, have a tiny bit of the story:
Teen Wolf Big Bang, Adventure Times! )
delicatale: (Avengers Coulson in a hurry)
Been sick all day carrying a Japanese katsu curry I've not digested very well yesterday, but hey, there was at least one good thing happening today, which is that I've got this in the mail:

Which is STUPIDLY EXCITING. It's slightly tight, but I'll have to wear it enough to stretch it ^^.

In other news, wrote 1K of cagefighting!Clint in the Tube the other morning, because I now have a Netbook and it is the most amazing thing ever for me to be able to write in the Tube efficiently, you have no idea, so, THERE. THIS MIGHT BE HAPPENING FOR REAL.
delicatale: (Avengers Hawkeye shoots you in the face)
Lookit what I got!

It is my arrowhead necklace and I love it so very much I think I might be wearing it FOREVER. AND EVER. AND ALWAYS.

Hawkeye would fucking approve, I just know this.

ETA: just suddenly exploded in plot for a cagefighting!Clint fic at [livejournal.com profile] sirona_gs. Possibly, I may have kinks.

ETA2: Anyone could direct me towards a place that would teach me the technicalities of podficcing? I did story time to [livejournal.com profile] stjarna1984 and [livejournal.com profile] theellibu the other night and I had a great time doing it (probably more than they did!) so I'm thinking about, possibly, giving podficcing a try. Also, authors on my flist, do you want your fic to be podficced?
delicatale: (JRenner is a goof)
Right. In my quest of finding some JRenner-focused tumblrs to follow, I found this:

And now, my head is filled with how do I write Clint as a hunter and how does Phil fit in this scenario? Because, well, yes. As a former SPN fan, this seemed like the only logical explanation to this picture.

delicatale: (Avengers Cap is badass)
Let me present to you, Chris Evans' back, and this little birthmark on the back of his hip:

Under a cut to preserve flists, and those who don't care )
delicatale: (Avengers Tom Hiddleston is lounging)
Okay, so, I suspect today is going to be terrible in all sorts of way because I have NOTHING TO DO at work and if I keep on being stalled in my fic I'm going to cry. BUT, last night we went to see Sherlock Holmes 2 and that was a rioooootttttt, and now I'm trolling on Tumblr as I do usually, and, oh, look, I may have just found the prettiest picture ever.

Under a cut because it's big and I'm nice like that. (more pretty in the comments, by the by. )

There you have it. I have no words at all. Okay, now to go try to write some fic, or something.
delicatale: (Avengers Hawkeye is not impressed)
Because I have nothing better to do, and I have nothing of substance to say, let me offer you Jeremy Renner, ladies and gentlemen!

Consider me done for the rest of the day (I think). HOPE IT HELPS YOUR MONDAY, IF IT'S AS SUCKY AS MINE!
delicatale: (Harry arsey)
So, I am shallow. It is not news, but sometimes, one of the men I like to sexually objectify do something that just asks me to be shallow.

A proof (quite NSFW). )

Aaaaaaand good morning to you too!
delicatale: (SotT Klingon in my pants)
This is a shallow post. I just wanted to say, I have the biggest lady boner for Tom Hardy. There, I said it (it's been a while, I just never talked about it).

Now, I also wanted to share this picture.

(click, it gets bigger)

So, who wants to write Eames being a criminal in Hawai'i and Five-0 running after him? I DON'T KNOW.

delicatale: (Steve oh pakalolo)
It's [livejournal.com profile] shinysylver's birthday today! Happy birthday hun! Hope you have the best of days ♥, filled with Captain America and Tony Stark and Steve and Danny :nod nod:.

Talking about Steve and Danny - and Chin and Kono, these promo shots, just. I mean, unf, right? Unf is the word.
You've most certainly seen this, but, heh. )

I feel like I need a new fandom to play around in. I was talking with [livejournal.com profile] sirona_gs yesterday about it, how it'd be good for me to put a little distance so I don't get as annoyed with everything that's going on in the H50 fandom lately; I don't find it the healthiest place to be in at the moment, and I'd enjoy being able to turn away to something else when I need it. But nothing has hit me like this show has, recently. I'm not into the film ships going on lately - I sort of feel assaulted by them everywhere and thus I tend to turn away. So, I don't know. It's hard, you guys. If there's anything you think I should check out, let me know!
In the meantime, if anyone wants to point me towards awesome Eames/Arthur fic (preferably long and meaty, I have a weakness for AU), I'll take it. I've not read them much, but they're so lovely.
delicatale: (Scotty hand)

SOMEONE EXPLAINS THIS TO ME. or, you know, just write me fics about it.

([livejournal.com profile] theellibu finds the best pictures.)

hang loose

Big weekend. Managed a series of good and bad things, but in the end, it was rather enjoyable! I do not deal well with this heat, though, let me tell you.

Writing things )

And that is it. I have not started a new fic yet, still enjoying the easy work with awesome writing partners for now, we'll see when I feel the pull for more.

For now, I am doing like Scotty Caan, I am hanging loose, brah.
delicatale: (Steve swimming)
There are parts of fandom I really don't understand. Oh, well.

Recs! Both codas for 2.01 so if you haven't seen it, wait before reading these. They're wonderful though, so do read them!

to hold on to by [livejournal.com profile] elandrialore. If you don't read everything she writes already you're missing out on pretty perfect fic. This one, though ♥.

half full by [livejournal.com profile] thegrrrl2002. It brought me to tears by being so right.

I wish I had that kind of talent, you guys. Go read!

Some ramble about writing and all. Also, a picture as your reward. )
delicatale: (Default)
My [livejournal.com profile] zombiebang fic has got an artist! Heeeee, I am so excited, it's my first big bang so, just, aaaahhhh, first time I'll have art made specifically for a fic I wrote, heeeeee!

Also, peoples, under the cut is a spoilery pic for an upcoming episode and it's making me flail so much I kinda forgot how to breathe.

Over here! )

....Yeah. Like fic coming to life, I swear.
delicatale: (Default)

But how? How so pretty? How do you do these things to me? Sigh.
delicatale: (Scott skates)
How amazing is this picture?

([livejournal.com profile] theellibu found it because she's awesome. It's doing wonders to calm me down after a slightly tragic early morning)
I want it like, blown up and framed for my bedroom.
delicatale: (Steve arm unf)
Am sick. Like, weird sick where I feel light-headed and crampy but not bad enough to stay home, so I went to work anyway, wondering what kind of meds I can buy from the Boots across the street to hopefully make me feel better. Am a bit hot and cold and exhausted but hey, I have work to do, I should focus on that.

If you have anything up your sleeve to make me feel better, though, fire away. You can call it an official cheer-up post or something!

Something that cheered me up - I saw this on [livejournal.com profile] leupagus's lj and I've never seen this picture before and I disagree with every person commenting on her post saying he's too hairy and douchey, I'd do him SO HARD, I know it's douchey but oh, wow, I don't give a fuck by that point.

Watched Harry's Arctic Heroes yesterday, and it moved me to the brink of tears. I am fascinated and so inspired by stories of injured soldiers finding a new meaning to their life, refusing to fall into darkness. One of them had his back broken during an attack in Afghanistan, doctors didn't think he'd be able to walk again, and yet he did. And then he trekked through the Arctic to reach the North Pole. And guess what? His name is Steve.
I got way involved in the show (you can ask [livejournal.com profile] theellibu and [livejournal.com profile] stjarna1984), and sat, awed, by these men and how brave they were. It's incredible, and it gave me, I believe, this push I needed for my Steve-has-a-spinal-cord-injury fic, to go on with it and write it as I want it to be written. It might take me a long time, but I really want to write that story.
delicatale: (Steve and his machine gun)
Okay! [livejournal.com profile] gunslingaaahhh's got a lovely cuddle fest going on! I am still on sale here!

I am also still quite obsessed with the idea of SCI!Steve rediscovering surfing and the sea. But the thing is I'm hitting sort of a low - in which I feel like I can't write - and I'm terrified of fucking up, so I've got all these images in my head and I really want to write them, but it's freaking me out that nobody would care, which is, I know, silly. But sometimes, I can't quite help myself. I want this story to have a rhythm and to be a little poetic while being realistic over what Steve can and cannot do when he can't use his legs anymore, and I'm not sure I can pull it off.

To be honest, I'm probably going to end up writing it anyway, I know, but sigh, all the same.

for your time, a picture. )
delicatale: (Alex my body is ready backupplan)
So I'm feeling like Hell this morning - slept really badly, too hot/too cold, cramps, wheezy. Overall, I want to crawl in a corner and weep for a while.

But then, my darling [livejournal.com profile] theellibu showed me this picture.

If you're a spoilerophobe, even though this, technically, contains none. )

In other random news, Bakery!AU is over 40K and into its last scene, then we'll send it over to [livejournal.com profile] somehowunbroken to make sure it's long enough and [livejournal.com profile] sirona_gs and I might do another one. Because we're mad. And we're toying with two ideas - I like both, I wonder if we should do a poll, Neve. OR JUST, YOU KNOW, WRITE BOTH.

We went to Ikea and bought many a thing, and I like building them so heehee. Soon enough our rooms won't look like complete tips! That'd be nice. I also spotted this, and I want it for my room very very badly, and will most probably get it. I am a geek, what else is new.
